(16 Weeks) 19 Weeks: Heirloom Tomato

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing 6 million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born. (Babycenter.com)

I am now moving into my "fat pants." So far, I have not needed to wear any maternity clothes, though I have on occasion because they are so cute:)

I had a horrible headache on Monday, that I suspect was a migraine. My head throbbed and pounded for ten hours straight. I drank more water than I ever have in a day (peed every 20 minutes) and took two tylenol, but it just pounded on through. Finally, the next morning my head ache went away. (Thank you Lord!) I have been experiencing frequent headaches over the past few weeks, but none that bad.

I have also started to notice a little ligament pain now when I jump off the couch. It has only happened twice so far, but I suspect that will increase in the near future.

I have been so blessed by all my recently-pregnant friends showering me with their maternity clothes and baby items they will not use. It is so wonderful to go through this with so many good friends!

Next time I post, we will have seen our beautiful Poppy for the first time! We have our 20-week ultrasound scheduled for next Wednesday! We are very excited!

I can't believe you are almost half-way done. Gosh, where is time going?
Now get over here so I can adjust you! I hate knowing that you are having preventable headaches!
